We were lucky to meet Shirley and Chris last year. Shirley and Tyler just finished year 2 of SIU medical school. Chris is in the Marines but happened to be in town at the perfect time to squeeze in a shoot before the med students dove into studying for the boards.

We headed to downtown Springfield for some more shots just as the light was getting really yummy.
You can tell Shirley and Chris love being together and make each other very happy.
I love engagement shoots because time is not a limiting factor. Sunday was hot and sticky, so when we saw a couple enjoying some ice cream, we decided to take a little break to cool off… plus it made for some fun (although messy) pictures.
