Blythe + Nathan

Here is maybe the most fun-loving couple we have ever photographed. It made for a lively day.

After applying the makeup, the S-O-T-B complained of tarantula eyes.
I swear I don’t know what she’s talking about.
Meanwhile the B-O-T-G was doing the grooming.
This is the quintessential groomsmen preparation picture á la Beau. Videogames.
Style ensued.

Back to the ladies.

Ahhhhhhhhh!

If you’ve ever been in a wedding party, you know that passersby like to hoot an’ holler. In this case, it was the bride that did the heckling.
Meet the groom.

Their “first look”, ceremony style.

Nate explodes out of the church. If only there were some cheerleaders holding a banner to run through.
Ringbearer.

The ceremony musicians.
And here comes the portraits bomb.

My apologies to the bridal party. I made them jump over and over telling them they weren’t in sync. Turns out, everyone (but the pregnant one) was airborne on the second try.

These are some of my favorite dip-kisses ever.

Blythe’s posing request. Very nice!

The Artisan Building.

The green accents.

Rivals Andrew and Michelle’s wedding back in 2008 for the most consistently packed dance floor.

We’ll close on the first dance, framed by the M-O-T-B and featuring the excellent musician whose name I wish I could remember. (Drop it in the comments; he was great.)

We have had the greatest weddings to photograph recently. This one was so much fun. I don’t think I’ve laughed this much on the job. Your laid back natures made it so easy to get moment after moment.

P.S. I would also like to mention the excellent videographer Matt Kiefer. You’ll notice that he is in just the right amount of pictures – none. (Well, he is in the background of one, see if you can spot his black shirt.) He also has a great personality for the job and was pleasant to talk to at the vendors dinner table. We’re looking forward to seeing the day in moving pictures.

Alli Poore - These pictures are amazing!!! I was a bridesmaid in this wedding and had a blast!! Also, the singer of the first dance song was Jeffrey James (my brother) and I have to admit (even though I know I’m biased) he is awesome!!

kim - these are all stunning (even the ones with the very pregnant bridesmaid, thanks for getting my good side)! can’t wait til our newborn session with Duncan.

MOTB - The closing pic is framed by the m-o-t-b and Jeffrey, but includes the a-o-t-b…mother and aunt have shared many moments in Blythe’s life so it is fitting that we would share this. I’ve never seen my daughter happier and your pics have captured that! I am blessed to add Nate to my “kids”…#9!

Matt - Thanks for the shout out. Amazing photos, I love the color correction. Nice site design too. This was one fun wedding and it was great to get out of indianapolis for a change.

Piper Sue and her new family

Dirt. Dirt. Truck. Dirt. Dirt. Dirt.

When I look at these 2, I just think of how blessed Piper is to get this mama and this daddy.

Will very obediently kissing his new little sister.

I predict this one to be a favorite of the two siblings when they’re older.  :)

On a personal note, I am so thankful to have known Molly since kindergarten.  She is one of the first friends from school I remember having over (I can picture her all dressed up in a black and white polkadot dress…probably preparing for a tea party.).  Since kindergarten, she has consistently been a close friend, and through motherhood, she’s grown even dearer to me.  I look up to her in so many ways.  It was so fun to be pregnant together for a few months, and I can’t wait for our little girls to be buddies once my little one arrives!

I can’t end this post without saying a special thanks to my amazing assistant Laura for her mad reflector-wielding and baby-calming skills, with the extra bonuses of catching up and iced mochas.  You are a keeper!
